DAYTON’S OWN, L-MARR THE GREAT, HOSTS UPSCALE

HIP-HOP CD RELEASE PARTY

(Dayton) – On Saturday, January 19, 2008, Dayton-born, L-Marr the Great, releases his sophomore CD project, Grown Man Music, through his independent label, Hustle Smarter. The event begins at 10:00 pm at the Therapy Café 452 East Third Street.

L-Marr, who has opened for national artists including Three 6 Mafia, Twista, Nick Cannon and Monica, says, “This show will be a refreshing and enlightening experience. The CD highlights my maturation as an artist and my performance will be accompanied by my band, The Wait.“ Other local artists performing at the release party include DJ Alvin D, DJ Doc Strange and DJ Ruckus Roboticus.

L-Marr is a motivational speaker and hip-hop consultant for Central State University’s K.R.U.N.K.E.D. 4 Life program. The after-school program was designed to show at-risk teenagers a positive alternative to violence.
